Mixing headphones should be tuned to Harman Target

Harman target was measured through speakers, it's a bit different with headphones. From experience, it's better to test headphones that sound balanced to you. Anything that is not v-shaped, mids dipped. From there, just like speakers, you get yourself adjusted to your headphones and mix better by constantly referencing well mixed music. You hear more nuances the higher the ladder you go on product lines. You want to be able to hear over compression quickly.

I think it depends on what purpose that mixing is intended for..
in the end you want the best balance between lows, mids and highs for a specific use case.
that can probably range from audiobooks (intended to be listened to by headphones) to electronic dance music on a high end club-system and everything in between.

I believe your mixing phones should match that certain purpose and how it would sound when reproduced..

But i dont have any experience with mixing, those were just my initial thoughts.
