Hello,
First of all, I love this website. I picked up my Vsonics after checking the reviews from Head-Fi and man did I love them. They broke and I was out to buy new earphones. I checked the reviews of wirecutter and they raved about the Sony's.
The earphones sound extremely detailed and I can hear instruments clearly. However, the highs seem to sharp and it sounds a little muddled on most songs. Also, even though I can hear a lot of detail; the sound seems two-dimentional and not lively. I'm not sure but I believe I'm used to a more warmer sound signature; don't get me wrong I like treble but the Sony's seem to have harsh high's and boring mids. Acoustic tracks sound decent on these earphones Rock/Pop seem to be muddled.
Please suggest me a in-ear monitor. I mostly listen to Rock/Alternative and some Jazz. I like Foo-fighters/Arctic Monkeys/Wombats/Of Monsters and Men. I try to enjoy random Pop music on occasion. My budget is <200$ US
Thanks
