Had one of these and loved the SQ - sold because of one quirk - many albums played out of order (played alphabetically).

Has Meizu fixed this problem?

i always tagged my songs as 01/12 for instance in the id3tag and had no problems with my sp: i have not tried the sl

I own a meizu m6sl and never had this issue. most likely because I maintain strict tagging & naming rules for my mp3s . track names start with 01, 02, etc. all ID3 V1&V2 tags are present.

good software for "cleaning/fixing" is
Mp3tag - the universal Tag Editor (ID3v1, ID3v2, APEv2)
