Hey guys,
I'm listening to a nocturne by Chopin and I can't help but notice that there's a fair amount of background static noise in the recording. The file is lossless and I'm using M-Audio's BX5. The volume on my speakers is maximal, and I've used the equalizer to minimize the 'preamp' bar, hoping it would get rid of that. Though the static noise is still there in all my old classical/jazz/whatever recordings. I'm wondering if there's any external equipment I can use to reduce this (and perhaps increasing the clarity / quality of the sound even more).
Thanks in advance and have a great day
