I was wondering if anybody knows where I can get my hands on a small LOD connector. And by "small" I mean a cable that doesn't stick way out and have the typical "U" form. I'm looking for something smaller, something that has a "L" formed 1/8" connector and not much less cable (lengthwise).

Don't like cables hanging/sticking out

Would probably use the cable for a nano+altoids combo...

Remember that I saw something like this in the DIY cable thread but I can't find it know... somebody that remembers?

DIY is a option, but would love to see some examples and commercial ones too!

I'm in the market for a LOD like this as well.
I have searched high and low short of asking anyone to create a custom for me and was surprised to not find any LODs manufactured this way.

I'll keep my eye on this thread for any suggestions.

Yup, someone should ad this model to their product selection!
Why would you want loong cables sticking out from the system?

I guess the only problem with this design is that everyone has a different distance between the connectors depending on the setup. But since most LODs are custom-/handmade anyway I can't see it as a big drawback.

On the other hand, if the amp's input isn't aligned with the ipod's connector, this design needs some modification. Maybe a version where the cable exits the connector on the side?

I haven't seen a LOD with the cable port to the side so if you want one you have to drill it out yourself.

not sure, i dont have the connector just the imod.

i would assume its just a normal push fit dock.
