Hi,

I am looking for a mini speaker system for the Ipod 5G. What should I go for?

I am looking for best sound for up to lets say USD 500.
THe device should be good for rock and classics, too (if possible)

Any recommendations or experience

Regards

Well, I the device I am looking for should be at least that portabel that I can move it. I mean it should be in the size of the Logitech Audiostation or Bose Sounddock

A little larger than those, but movable and likely better sounding would be this. Review here.

Not out quite yet (so who knows the SQ), but at least on looks Griffin Amplifi is worth considering for an office.

Also I have to admit this Banshee looks interesting.

Also you can probably get an idea of the choices from the free iLounge Buyers Guide.

Rainbird says:
hould be at least that portabe ... need them for my office.

I own and like the PlayDock MP3.

It is portable, battery powered and has a good sound to it. It will fit into an office environment. It is often on sale for $199.99.
