Need advice . Which format would be best when I travel .
The nomad jukebox or one of the sony minidiscs like mz900?
I'll be using ER4 and want the highest fidelity and good headphone output.
I know nothing about the different compression schemes .

Robert, for best sound quality with your 4Ps, I'd go for the MZ-R900. I think most people here would agree that if fidelity is your main concern, minidiscs, for the most part, are superior to mp3s.

I'd go for the MD player, ER4S and a portable headphone amp. No portable device available today can achieve the sound that's available from a good pocket amp. The Porta Corda is reported to be good , if it's too expensive you can look out for a DIY one.
