Maybe the amp doesn't have enough power but the p162 is very efficient at Sensitivity: 90dB the t-amp is about 30watts per channel thats about 108db at 1metre maxed out do you have the amp almost maxed out?, with solid state amps anything that sounds warm or adds anything to the sound is defective it should sound clean and clear like its not even there. Speakers do need a few hours burn-in to lossen the driver surrounds.
