As the title says it, the volume control knob keeps falling off my Mini^3. I use the knob and pot that comes with the kit from GlassJarAudio and the only thing that keeps the knob in place is the little screw at the side. There's a thread further up the pot, but the knob doesn't reach it. No matter how hard I tighten that screw, the knob eventually falls off (I screw it to the flat side of the pot).
 
I tried drilling a small hole into the pot and that works much better, but still if I wiggle the knob back and forth enough times, it will eventually come loose. There's no instructions on how to properly fasten the knob, so how do other people do it?

I've never heard anyone complain about that particular problem before which makes me think you might have a set screw that's out of tolerance in some way. Is it really loose in the hole?
 
Maybe buy another knob and see if it stays tight.

Is the set screw coming loose or does it never get tight against the pot shaft?
 
If it is just that the screw comes loose over time maybe try some lock-tite on the threads.  However I have not had any such issue with the knobs I have used.

Get some tape and wrap a few layers of it on the shaft, then try again.
