Microphonics - are all IEMs/canalphones this bad?

A shirt clip is a good thing. You can also drape the cable over your ear or run it on the inside of your shirt.

The best earphones in terms of reducing microphonic noise coming from the cable are LiveWires and Westone UM1 / UM2. Basically a soft cable with an extremely soft coating on is the best.

You just attached it high enough so that when you turn your head, there is no pull. The location varies for each user based on physical traits. Once you secure the clip/cable, the microphonics dissipate. Also, sometimes the single cables can rub a shirt collar. in which case phones like the Sleeks let you turn the cables away from your shirt (the cable rotate where they plug into the phones).
