I recently bought an Echo Indigo PCMCIA sound card that I am using in my laptop. I am using Etymoytic ear canal phones with this setup and it is a bit of a hassle and quite uncomfortable to my ears to get them in abd out.

Instead of ripping out my ear canal phones if someone wants to talk to me I would like to use the microphone on the laptop to respond to outside requests. However, the mixer for the built-in sound card does not do me much good in routing the sound to the Indigo card. I need a little application that copies the bits from the Microphone input of the built-in sound card to the output on the Indigo. I

Ideally this is something that I can push and hold when needed and it otherwise stays out of the way.


Anyone on the forum that has solved this problem?

Can't you hook up the line in of your normal soundcard to the line in of the indigo? Then mute everything except for Mic on your normal soundcard?

There is no line in on the Indigo. Very high quality outputs but output only.
