Question. I have a MicroDAC and AMP setup, which I mainly use with a pcdp with an optical out. Works great.

However I'm at home fooling around with some things and decided to try the USB input, connecting the microDAC to a usb input on my computer here. Popped a CD in the computers dvd player, brought up itunes..and it plays, yet I can control the volume within windows. I was under the impression all that stuff(volume control, eq, etc..) would be bypassed in the comp and just a signal would be sent to the external DAC. Am I doing something wrong here?

I ended up getting winamp along with the asio output .dll
Seems to work for what I wanted. Thanks for the info.
