i am intending to get the headroom microstack for home and portable use, and i'm wondering if the dt880's will be powered well by it (with desktop module)?

Yup....I use the stack with my K701 and DT880's. Sounds sweet

just reading the review that specifically deals with this; i'm getting hyped up to say the least.

i'll probably be ending up with one pair of hd25-1's (with a few upgrades) for potable, and a pair of dt880's for home; i think it will be a lovely pairing as i'll have the hd25's if i need to bang my head a bit

but i'm much more into folk, cllasical, instrumental jazz etc. most of the time

the other thing i have to come to grips with is that my ears are a tad sensative. my ms-1's pounded too hard for me, not sure how the describe it.
