Mic attachment for iPhone?

So, I've given NE-7M a shot, and meh. They're OK, but they're really a far cry from any other pair I own. So, I thought maybe I could get a little microphone doohicky to go between my ESW9 (say) and NuForce Icon Mobile. Does such a doohickey exist?

there's this mic attachment that allows you to use regular headphones/earphones with an iphone/blackberry/etc. SmartTalk Inline Microphone for existing earphones for use with the iPhone

you will not, however, be able to use it between your headphones and icon mobile, because the connection that goes into the phone needs to have 4 connections - the mic part. you may be able to do mic->nuforce->headphones, but i don't know if the mic will still work in that setup.

Eh? I don't understand... The Mobile has 2 ports, one of which is mic compatible. Can't I plug my ESW9 into the SmartTalk, and then plug the ST into that port?
