Im curious about which ECC88/E88CC tubes you are using on the V8P and how they sound?
Do we really need a CCa Grade tube for this amp?

Currently for mine I'm using two NOS Mullard E88CC's I purchased from ebay. They sound fantastic with a very very liquid sound and are incredibly musical. Very smooth highs, revealing mids (also very smooth and lush sounding) with nice bass that is not overly tube like.

Based on recommendation, replaced the stock tube with 6h23p

I have a x-can V-3 and I use Amperex "SQ" 7308 in mine.. The Best IMO....You could use "PQ" 6922s with some great results also......These are high $$$ tubes when you find them NOS, but well worth it if you have the cash.....will last and last...IMO.....--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Yeah I tried Bugel Boys in mine before any they were awesome to say the least, far far better than the 6H23N's I was using before hand.
