I bought both of them and did a side by side comparison for an entire day. Maybe its just a personal preference, but the Metros had great crisp mids and Highs, but were severely lacking in the bass department. They were like the polar opposites of the Vmoda Bass Freq, which sounded warm and bassy, but the mids and highs were to layed back. I personally found the Sonys to have the best blend of low end and upper end on music. They are not quite as bright sounding as the Fi4's, and the bass isnt as overwhelming as with the Bass Freqs. The Fi4s were on clearance at Bestbuy and I paid $32 for them. But sadly, I kept the Sonys and returned the Fi's. I would have been very happy with the Metros if it were not for them having poor low end.
