I have the Metro.fi 2 and I must say that for $40 these are a great knock-around pair of canal phones. The sound a lot like my MylarOne X3i. The Metro have more bass (a tiny bit boomy), but lack the crisp detail of the X3i. The build quality is what steals the show. I would be amazed if anyone has ever broken these. The casing is solid and the cable is thick. I believe that UE made these as knock-arounds for the UE crowd.
They are good upgrade from something like CX300s. Huge bass but more detail than other cheaper canal phones. I found the cable annoyingly stiff, if I turned my head I was concerned the phones would get pulled out.
For not much more money the ATH-CK7s are much better phones IMO.
