I haven't had a chance to listen all that much until today.
 
Right now, my impressions are very favorable.  I didn't have the original version of the Explorer, so I can't make that comparison.  But coming from the HRT Microstreamer, I am finding the Explorer2 to be a little smoother. Still getting great detail, though.  It is sounding great with my AKG K3003s!
 
I am really hoping to hear the Explorer2 with an MQA source file to see what that is all about.  But I am not finding much in the way of specific details on how to do that.


You use it with an Apple Laptop? Can it be used with an Apple iPad mini?

  I don't understand how you would be able to use it with an IPad? Plus why would you want too? This device is for high end audio files. It needs to be used with a computer. 

 
Apple Camera Connection Kit.  You would want to because it sounds better.  Your last two statements are incorrect.

Anybody know which DAC chip this unit uses?
