Hello all,
I wonder how good the Meridian Explorer 1 is, It has a Texas instruments DAC chip, but I remember that the Soundblaster E5 had one too. And the E5 is newer than the Meridian. But the E5 I found it to be very bad DAC and headphone amp. So I am very sceptical about the Meridian explorer 1, I just hate to waste 125 on a second hand version.
I cannot trust many so called professional reviews, these reviews are just B&LLSH!T. Paid to promote how good it is , but cover up the very sub par audio quality. I so hate liars... bah!
Otherwise I will pay a bit more and go for the Modi 2 Uber or Multibit, because I own the Bifrost 4490 already, and like it.
Does anyone have hands on experience with this Meridian explorer DAC? Thank you.
