My girlfriend somehow dragged me out here to Memphis Tennessee. Just wondering if any of my dear fellow head-fiers are from around here.

Any recommendations?
Any shops with decent gear I could audition?
Anyone here down for some sort of mini-meet? All I brought are my HD600's.

Thanks!

Jeremy

I assume you've already visited Graceland, Sun Studios, Civil Rights Museum, Gibson Guitar Factory/Blues Museum, Stax Records, etc. ? Somewhere on the net I found the address to Jerry Lee Lewis's ranch and after a little searching of back country roads, drove out to see where "the Killer" now resides. There's not much to see there, but some of his 20 or so hound dogs will likely come down to see you at the gate and you can sign the large/wall fence that surrounds the front of his property. I wrote " Ah crap, I thought they meant the other Jerry Lewis." on his wall.

With the movie "Cash" being popular, standing inside Sun Studios where Elvis, Jerry Lee Lewis, Roy Orbison, Carl Perkins, and Johnny Cash all started their careers, is sorta neat.

About a 30 minute drive straight south of Memphis is the Tunica, Mississippi casino area, where about a dozen of the large Vegas/Atlantic city casino hotels have created another gambling/entertainment spot like Atlantic City ( although it's light on entertainment) spread out on huge properties along the shores of the Mississippi river.
