I'm going to start my tube rolling with current production tubes.
I have Sovtek 6922s in there right now (and they are really old).

I am looking at Tesla/JJ and JAN Phillips replacements. Which one should I get? Or should I get both and sell one?

JJ's worked much better in my X-CANS than any other 6922 I tried (Sovtek, JAN, Russian NOS 6H23-EB).

Thanks Nikolai. I read your Xcans post regarding the different tubes and just got the Tesla/JJs since the others didn't come close. If the Melos can get any better... wow...

they will ask you what sort of sound you are looking for and they will hook you up.

Yeah, they sell NOS tubes. I said I'm starting with current production 'cause NOS tubes are whacky expensive, to use Kevin at Upscale Audio's terms. Thanks for the suggestions, though.
