My Emm CDSD transport is on the fritz. According to the guy I spoke to at High End Audio Repair in Brooklyn, it's probably a problem with the switching power supply. This is a common problem with Emm stuff, according to him.
He also told me that Emm is really difficult to deal with when doing outsourced repairs. They don't supply parts willingly and they remove marks from chips so it's hard to get a hold of replacements.
Anyway. I am wondering if anyone has had their Emm/Meitner gear repaired and what is the process?
