Hello together

I use a HD800S and got from Jan following recommendations:
Notch filter second position from the left, LF+1 and LFF+2.
I've seen that these recommendations are equal to the HD800 but I'm not sure whether both cans are similar. Personally I use the notch filter at the 5th. position from the left, LF and LFF depending on the music.

Compared to the 800, the 800S has flatter frequency response, but higher bass distortion. More specifically it has less bass rolloff and the 6 kHz resonance peak is still there, but weaker.
For either one, the Soul notch filter should be around 6 to 6.5 kHz.
For the 800S I would consider the bass boost optional; boosted bass can sound loose & wooly. The 800S is flat down to about 50 Hz, so even the Soul's LLF control (corner freq at 170 Hz) is higher than that. Maybe 1 or 2 clicks of LLF, maybe no correction at all.
