I just got the M7. I left it on standby and the battery went down from 46 to 0% in around 2 days. When Fiio said the unit can standby for 40 days, did it mean shutting the unit down completely? What was your experience? Thanks.

Dear friend,

Please check whether you have turned on the Bluetooth function or the music was playing still? And you could check from 100% to % instead of 46% to 0%. The battery is not losing linarly.

Best regards

for the Fiio Music app, choose all songs-> pick a random song->tap the album art-> press the icon next to the equalizer until it's two intersecting lines (like an 'X' shape)
That worked - Thanks!

Now I'm trying to figure out how to get to the all music option:

I like my M7. I wish it didn't act like a phone though - right from turning it on and having to swipe for the menu. And when I hit music (the whole purpose for using it), it has to load. Que Jeopardy music lol. I can't figure out how to put my music in the M7's storage, but I use micro sd cards anyway, so a non-issue. But why do I have to navigate to the sd card's music everytime? It should know I put in a card and come up automatically.

Dear friend,

Can the 'all music' option in the FiiO Music app help you instead?

Have you scanned/rescanned the song files in the music app? Maybe that's why they are not showing up in the app.

Open the Fiio Music App, Press the "Gear" Icon for settings, choose the 2nd setting ("Scan for Songs"), just choose "Scan All", and it will scan for new music (not rescanning all over again), and add it to your library.

Hope it helps!

Hi,
I was wondering if someone could help me figure out if this Fiio M7 would be okay for me. My main concern is the power as once in a while I like to listen to my music quite loud. I've also looked at the Fiio M6 but it comes with a bunch of features I don't really need, I don't like the 'syle' of as much, and honestly in Canada it is over $100 more expensive and my budget is quite tight.
These are the headphones it would be used with and normally I would not be 'blasting' my music but once in a while I do like to hear some volume and I'm not a big fan of that 'underpowered,' feeling you sometimes get with a cheap phone.
Grado Sr80 (pre e model I think they are i)
AKG K 172 HD
Audio Technique M40x
I also have a pair of Samson SR850s but those rarely leave the house and are usually hooked up to my computer.
Any help, input, or info would be greatly appreciated.

Can't really help on the first 2 headphones, as I don't own them.

For the m40x, it's driven quite well with my m7.

For the Samsons, I owned a similar headphone(Superlux 668B), and they sound great driven by the M7 (volume needs to be quite high though, above 30/60 to sound great), using my PCs motherboard, the Superlux sounded kinda harsh at similar volume compared to my m7

Hi,
Any chance of a last firmware update that would enable the RDS function on the FM radio?

With the price decrease of the M7 to half of its original list price (Fiio replacing it with a newer model?), is it a no-brainer purchase, or are there better values? Important to me are great sound, small physical size, battery, and decent power........ streaming music is not important to me.

If you can get it for half price now, I'd say it's well worth it. Battery life and sound are both good.
Thanks

Maybe I should have specified the price that it's selling for now, so there's no confusion. The Amazon price is now just under $100 (originally just under $200). So, is your reply valid for the price of $100?

Since I'm going to use this exclusively for cycling and running, I do have a concern with size. Can it be easily carried? I usually wear my player around my neck using a lanyard. Is there any way to attach this to a lanyard, either from the player body or is there a case with a place of attachment?

I was also considering a Hiby R2 (same price) because it's much smaller and has good reviews. Can anyone recommend one over the other? Also, I already own a Hidizs ap60II (around $100) still in good shape. I'm happy with the Hidizs, but have an itch for something better (but I don't want to break the bank).Would either the Fiio or Hiby be enough of an upgrade to buy?
