Hello,

here is my review where you can let off steam.

https://www.head-fi.org/showcase/6sn7-select-ray-from-apos-audio.27017/reviews

The first YouTube video from Passion for Sound also went online yesterday.

Funnily enough, both were finished almost immediately.
I dawdled a bit yesterday.

There will be a 2nd part from me in another amplifier.

So far I have another participant from Germany who will get the set as soon as I am finished.
Anyone based in Europe who is interested in testing the 6SN7 Select Ray and writing a review is welcome to take part.
Just Pn to me with amplifier details would be great everything else there.

Note:
Apos Audio has just released the latest:

I'm in love with the look.
I can't wait to hear how it compares to the select version.

cheers

There were problems sending the order to my country. Contacted the company. I received a response from the owner of the company. Very quickly solved my problem. I ordered 2 pieces for my WA22.
Excellent service and desire to help the client. Bravo!!! :raised_hands:

I see the Apos Ray 6SN7 Select as a fit and forget tube, it has enough tube warmth whilst still retaining an excellent level of detail and control.

Loved the tube. Ordered another for my Schiit Lyr3.

Listened to the Ray tube since delivery in mid November 2023. Late Feb., 2024, replace the Ray tube with a Russian Tung Sol, new manufacture.

I heard something to cause me to order another Ray tube. I didn't hear it tonight. I think the Tung Sol tube is my choice.

Note: I was listening to the first Ray tube with mainly HiFiMan Arya v2's. I acquired HiFiMan HE1000SE 10 days ago. Do the new cans like the Tung Sol better? Who knows.

Has anyone tried the Reserve version of this tube? The Passion for Sound reviewer was raving about it. Expensive, but tempting nonetheless - especially considering how much I like the regular version.
@Wes S had it currently for Review
