i was wondering if it's accurate to measure the output of your headphones with a radioshack analog SPL meter.
like...just pressing the meter (the tip...metal part with mesh screen) up against driver on the headphone where your ear would be.
or would the distance to the diaphram (?) of the spl meter be greater (or less?) than the distance to your ear drum, thus giving not so accurate results? (causing a difference of more than like..3 db)
