Where are you trying to create a thread?
You can't start a thread on FS/T until you have fifteen posts and thirty days under your belt on Head-fi. You have the thirty days but what is lacking is the fifteen posts. So, try to get yourself up to fifteen. The game threads on the Music board are a good way to accumulate posts fairly quickly (the Band Name Game, eg). So, that is an option.
As far as the other boards you mention, I am not sure how many posts you need in order to create a thread there but it is no more than fifteen at most.
Hope this helps. Oh, and the reason for this is to try to mitigate the troll, spammer, scammer issues we sometimes have here on the site--just so you know. There is a reason.
