MD for CD transcription and portable use; recommendations?

Hi Bangraman;

Thank you very much indeed for the thoughtful response! Hmmm, I was unaware that the home decks have the capability of making such speedy copies. That is certainly food for thought, though I will still probably go with a true "one does it all" portable, at least for now. That's good advice on not letting clutter accumulate! I've too much of that as it is now.

I will take your advice and look into the large cap mini-hard drives again, but I'm not sure that they have the battery life I would want. The 40+ hours on a single AA battery seems difficult to beat. Ideally I'd have something that would let me sleep for 8 hours at a stretch on the airliner without changing batteries or disks, be robust enough to take all the abuse of daily use in the office - and be small and durable enough to accompany me while lightly loaded down on a 2 week vacation, with lots and lots of walking....

And there is indeed MD-HD to look into. Decisions, decisions!
