Thinking about joining this drop. Smoothed out DT 1770 with velour and lambskin pads and removable cables. 32 ohms which should be good for portable devices. Considering the $599 retail price of the 1770 this seems like a great value. Thoughts?

I’m thinking about it too. I’m not a fan of the Beyer house sound and reviews for the original 1770 were kind of cold, but at this lower price and smoother looking FR it might be worth it; I’m reading that this doesn’t exhibit the same treble as other Beyer models which is good, and early reviews are positive. But I also ordered the 99 Noir the same day these were announced (go figure) and I’m currently trying to decide if I want to keep those. If I don’t, I might jump on these.
