If you like MHA150 sound signature go for it. You will love it. If you are looking for a less warm and very analytical sound this may not be the best choice. The specs can be seen as bit outdated (no DSD512 for example) but again it depends on your needs. I've tried pairing MHA150 with different dacs based on ESS chips (like MHA) but I wasn't happy with final result. I've got a feeling something was lost which made me believe that MHA150 is great single box solution.Have been using a Focal Arche with my Stelias for several months now. I have been offered a good price $2500 on a McIntosh MHA 150. Have wanted the latter for some time. Like the fact that the Arche is balanced, but is the quality of the McIntosh worth the money for me to buy it and possibly sell the Arche?
Thanks in advance for your input. (Using A & K devices.)

Someone know how this MHA150 sound with Final Audio D8000? I have Anni/Qutest stack with D8000, and now i think about upgrade. Selling the stack maybe and run from a MHA150. I have way too much cables right now and i think about some combo for long time. I have now a chance to get Hugo TT2 for a 3600 USD.

Does anyone know what the 3 actual output impedances are?
I just rolled the dial on mine to confirm....Does anyone know what the 3 actual output impedances are?
The Headphone impedances are 8~40, 40~150, 150~600
The External Speakers at 50wpc have 8 ohm taps only
You can tell how good is M150 with planars overall? With wich headphones do you use this amp?I just rolled the dial on mine to confirm....

I’m looking for exact impedances not the suggested impedances of headphones connected. I’m assuming it’s something like >1,16, and something like 32 or 100 on the last one. Does anyone know?I just rolled the dial on mine to confirm....

Its just too little info on this amp on the web, and too many questions i have plenty too. My intrest is how good he can sound with planars in general.
@Alucard1 I've had the MHA150 for many years and it's been great with Susvara, Abyss, Audeze, Caldera, and Meze planars. The best thing about it is how deep it digs into the lower registers and how effortless it is.
I have the MHA100 and just recently started using headphones with it and that created the itch for me to buy the MHA200. I've just only spent the last two days focused on listening to it with the mojo2 I purchased. In a couple more days as I cycle through my stack of well known tracks I always listen to, I will feed the mojo2 into the MHA100 and compare. I used the MHA100 up to recently to drive a pair of Kef LS50s, which I think is a great pairing (to my ears). I posted my first impressions under the MHA200 thread, but briefly, to my ears, it softened the mid/highs of the berydynamic 1990's such that I don't experience 'listening' fatigue with long sessions....I really want to try some planar's but I'm just diving into this form of listening and after all the reading I've been doing, its really going to take attending a can jam show (or find a good local audio group meet up) to listen to all the options out there...It looks like the next one is in March in NY so I'll just do the time with my current set-up and be better prepared to attend the show.
