Every single time they interviewed a Mayan or Mayan descendant living in another country, they all said the same thing..."its just the end of the calendar"...but people were like nahhh lets still worry lol

Didn't you all hear? Somebody got a conversion wrong somewhere when they were decoding the Mayan calendar, and as a result they predicted the wrong day for Doomsday.
 
It's actually going to happen on the 42nd day of February, 20X6, at 11:11:11 PM (Central American time, of course). I read all about it on this one site, but I can't remember what it was called. The Garlic, or something like that. Definitely something you plant in the ground. Anyway, it's the same place I read that, this August, Mars will be the closest it's been to Earth for a long time, so close that it's going to be the size of the full moon. I can't wait!

If our calendar began at 1AD rather than 0AD then the Mayan calendar should end in December 2013.
