Matrix sells a PCI card with a regular old USB 3.0 socket and the option for the user to add different power sources, some of which can cost more than the entire computer. Anyway I have this card, and I power it from my PC's PSU because I just didnt want to fall down that rabbit hole of exotic power sources and I think I notice a minor improvment in sound quality with my Element X. But hey placebo is a hell of a drug. What do you think?
