Ya, im all over this. The tuning does sound very similar to what they've now released as the Sage. I'm curious if theres any real difference.

  I hope so to justify the large price difference. I'm actually listening to the Sage now, and I wish I could compare them directly to my old Savants. 


Feel free to post some first impressions in the Noble thread. Haven't been able to find a peep on them since announcement. If there's a Black Friday sale on them, and I hear good things, I'll snatch them up.
 
Not sure with a March shipping date the Noble X would stop me. Probably grab both and see what happens.

Yes, there is a difference in the sound signature between the Sage and the Noble X.

The savant had the least bass response out of the group, the sage has more bass response than the savant, and has similar highs as the savant. The noble x has essentially the same lows as the sage, but the high frequency response is not the same as the sage.

Three different products, three different sound signatures

+1 for the pricing. I have not considered Noble, but now have to take a look...

Don't really have a need for these since I have the Savanna. But they definitely look the better than everything except the Katana. I am interested in those new cables, though.
