Shooting a dog that was running away from people breaking into the house, big men, if that had been a guard dog, they wouldn't have had time to feel threatened.

if they knew where the package was going, why didn't they do a check on the occupants?

shoddy police work IMO.

That is so very wrong!

They didn't take the time to chec the package and the pathway. Seriously, this is the most idoitic and trigger-happy "force" I have ever heard of. Even Reno 911! would not do such a thing.

Yeah - the "grandma" comprimised the whole situation.....

Apparently, this isn't the first time for such an embarrasment for them.

The officers "felt threatened" by black labs? I've had a lot of experience with labs, and the only way I've EVER felt threatened by ANY of them was of being covered in slobber.

Time for curb-stompings to come back into style...
