For my brand new home theater I am considering following models of receivers:
Yamaha RX-V2300, Marantz SR6300/7300 or Pioneer Elite VSX-45TX.

What are strong and weak sides of them?
For me most important is sound (70% music, 30% movies), second are features.

once apon a time I owned A marantz sr-19. It was great. According to other reviewers, the marantz was the best with music and also great with movies(some matched the marantz with movies but not necesssarily bested it, but for music it was usually way ahead).
I believe this is the consensus for marantz's recivers in general.
they usually have the least amount of do dads, but who gives a ****. get what sounds best.

look out for used sr-18s or 19s on the market. they might not have the latest chip set, but the amp-pre amp section is definately superior.
k.s.
