Hello All,
I have finally decided to upgrade my Marantz CD5001 and luckily for me, my provider is still able to get the SA8001 for the same price as the SA8003.
I'm really interested to purchase the SA8003 because of the possibility to play lossless files from my iPod but the main reason why I want to upgrade is to have a better DAC than my CD5001. This way, I wouldn't have to purchase a dedicated DAC like the Lavry DA10 or the DAC1.
Is it really a good idea to go with the new Marantz ? Also, as I won't play any SACDs on the CD player, would it be a better idea to get the Lavry DA10 or the DAC1 instead of replacing my CD player ?
