I just started listening to my new Marantz SACD player 2 hours ago. I never thought my Sennheiser HD-600 would ever sound this good!!!!!! I wonder what they will sound like after the Marantz burns in?

Just a thought for the future, nothing more. Stock is supposed to sound quite good, so when the windfall hits and you can afford to take it to the extreme of good sound this is available.

Personally, I think that modifying CDPs is becoming a HUGE industry. It takes ordinary players to a level equal to many times their cost, and often destroys any CDP in the price range even close to the modded unit.
