Dig out my old iPod classic with the view of playing it through the front usb port on the DAC1. Manual says it’s supported.
The DAC1 definitely recognises the iPod but these things happen
1. The Marantz logo comes up on the LCD display of the ipod
2. The track name and time appears in the display of the DAC1
3. The iPod is locked and paused and the track won’t play. None of the iPod controls will operate while it’s connected to the DAC1
It all works fine with a later model iPod nano so the DAC1 seems to be ok.
