Anyone have experience with this model? What would you pay for it? I can get it for $100 shipped.

Or the Sony SCD-CE775 SACD 5 for $100 at videogon as mentioned in another post?

I think you might be referring to my CD-48, not CC-48. Exellent entry level CDP, and an absolute steal. Don't know what kind of condition that Sony is in, but my Marantz is flawless.

GlowWorm: I think he's actually referring to the 5-disc-changer CC-48...

Thanks lini, I stand corrected.

I never even heard of a CC-48 before.

Personally speaking I think it's a bad idea to buy an old CD changer, because they're not as reliable as single disc CDP's. Keep it simple is my motto.

I was figuring the sound circuits are identical between the CC-48 and CD-48. I agree that a single drawer is best. Oh well.. In time I suppose i'll get something.

As a side note, EBay has a canada specific site with VERY low traffic. A great place to get a steal if you find somethign you want. most poeple will ship to the US there.

That would be my guess as well. There are plenty of good used CDP's out there for a c-note. Good luck with your decision.

Apparently it(Marantz CC-48) was worth $100. It's already been sold. Well, now I know for the future. it was a bit out of my range anyways. Really trying to get something for under $70 that used to be $200+ In time ....
