I think you might be referring to my CD-48, not CC-48. Exellent entry level CDP, and an absolute steal. Don't know what kind of condition that Sony is in, but my Marantz is flawless.
Personally speaking I think it's a bad idea to buy an old CD changer, because they're not as reliable as single disc CDP's. Keep it simple is my motto.

I was figuring the sound circuits are identical between the CC-48 and CD-48. I agree that a single drawer is best. Oh well.. In time I suppose i'll get something.
As a side note, EBay has a canada specific site with VERY low traffic. A great place to get a steal if you find somethign you want. most poeple will ship to the US there.

Apparently it(Marantz CC-48) was worth $100. It's already been sold. Well, now I know for the future. it was a bit out of my range anyways. Really trying to get something for under $70 that used to be $200+ In time ....
