I'm shopping for a new tube amp and currently own Audio Technica ATH-AD900 headphones. In addition to the amp purchase I'm also thinking about moving up to the AD2000Xs, so I want to get the amp choice right. The Mapletree amps are appealing due to price, size and simplicity but I'd like to know if they're a good match. And the AT's are my strong preference due to their fit and comfort. Please chime in if you've listened to this pairing.
My current amp is a Trafomatic HEAD ONE, which at least for the AT's beat out a Woo WA6, Yamamoto HA-02 and Grommes PHI-26. Thanks for any insight you can share.
