Manley Labs is proud to announce the release of a stunning design: the Absolute Headphone Amplifier. Brimming with functionality, this new art piece from Manley Labs is as enthralling musically as it is handsome visually.

With over three years of development in its creation, Manley has drawn from its 30 years of experience in conceptualizing and developing each precise element of this multi-talented unit. This masterpiece embodies high-performance flexibility for every person to be able to custom compose sonic performance reliably, repeatedly, or even spontaneously. Artistic expression with sound! Oh, and by the way, it is also a Line-Level Preamplifier!

I don't know about the criteria for "B Stock". But I use the Manley Absolute Headphone Amp at home. Mine is a Silver version. Understated and more in harmony with the bright white LED's used for the volume indicator and power on LED's. This is a great amp and very versatile, as many reviewers have stated. What is interesting is how silent the background is. You hear only the music. In my system, it doesn't quite go loud enough. I feed it through a VAC CT 1 MK II Pre-amp (usually used with my VAC Renaissance 70 Power Amp)which has two line outputs. These are single ended. Although I use the latest Abyss 1266 Phi TC headphones in balanced mode, the truth is that this cannot be a true balanced output. All Manley has done is to wire in parallel tot he single ended outputs, an XLR socket. But, it still sounds remarkably musical.I generally prefer balanced to single ended. Even at full list price, you get a lot of amp for the money. My only observation is that when the unit arrived I was surprised to find it was actually smaller than it looks in pictures. But sound wise its a very good product at the full list price.
