I would think a 150-Ohm headphone would do fine with any tube headphone amplifier?
Do you know the output impedance of the Crack?

It does depend on the tube but I think it is around 100 or so with a different tube lowering it a bit.

My HD-700’s 150 ohm sound pretty good from them with a Tung Sol 5998 but with a RCA 6080 sounds like crap a Chatham Tung Sol 6080 isn’t to bad but not that good.

My HD-800’s also sound better from the 5998 but not as bad from the Chatham 6080 and actually pretty good as it is a higher impedance.

So I'm getting an emu teak and lcd2c next month and kinda wanna upgrade from my modi magni uber. I'm think about either the fostex hpa4 bl,dx7 or the aune x7s paired with my modi. I really like the idea of balances. Any thoughts or opinions....

I would add the Schiit Jotunhem to that list. You can get it without the DAC. It's next on my list.
