I recently purchased a Schiit Magni 3 and it is a fine amp. However, a Musical Fidelity X Can v 3 just came up for sale at about the same price. Would the MF be an upgrade or a lateral move? Tubes have always intrigued me. My budget is less than $200.00. Any other suggestions are welcome. Phones are Massdrop Hd-58x, Philips SHP-9500 (which surprisingly I may prefer to the 58x's) and Sennheiser IE-80. Thank you.

If you did not have two headphones, then I would just stick with the Magni 3. However, the HD58X will very likely benefit with the MF X Can V3, especially with these tubes, which can be bought with paypal protection for piece-of-mind:

So if you want to buy these tubes to upgrade the X Can V3, then buy both and quell your curiosity.
