Got it with Sylvania tubes + some upgrades. Letting it burn-in at the moment, but what can I say....hmmm

I guess effortless would be a fitting description. No syrupy tubeyness here - nice, clean and tight, yet still 'full'. I don't know much audio jargon, you can find plenty of descriptions of the maestro sound in the meet impressions forum, so I'll just say, I like it...a lot!!!

I'll post some more comments as it burns in.

Just for reference, my current system

RME 96/8 - glass optical - Big Ben - Stealth Varidig AES/EBU - Audio Logic 2400 - Maestro - HD600 + Cardas

Just IMO, but it's the best computer source I've ever listened to

Get a Meridian/Wadia/Cary/high-end dedicated CD player ASAP!

Are you being sarcastic? It's not really a computer source IMO: the only thing «computer» about the source is the transport, which is arguably better than a spinning cd/laser configuration. You did see the Big Ben and Audio Logic, right?

From the day you ordered to the day it was delivered to your doorstep, how long was the wait?

What options were available to you when you ordered?

Inquiring minds would like to know!

Thanks.

I think an Audio Logic DAC would be as good or better than most of the offerings from the companies you have mentioned. I know the one I heard was nicer than my Meridian 508.24 and just as nice as my cary 306/200. I think it was the 24XL or something like that. Beautiful DAC.
Also, Beautiful system!!!

Awesome setup. Do you have all powercord and powerconditioning covered?

I don't know how it will sound, but it is a hell of an impressive amp, at least it looks gorgeous, I love it, if I just had the money for it...LOL....

Guild/Tom Hankins--Easy boys, I was just kidding on the computer thing. I understand that those DACs are mighty impressive.
