yes, weight will definately be a drawback. that's why all dynamic headphones use lightweight microphone drivers, which are technically inferior to speaker cone drivers, but are much lighter. personally i think the cone drivers sound better. the motor is more linear and has higher excursion. it's much more detailed than a lot of expensive headphones such as Grado RS-1.
