I've just come over all festive and decided to order my Xmas present to myself...

...a lovely red Mapletree Ear+ HD! With sterling so strong and the order queue nice and short, the time was just right. Should hopefully get it just before Xmas

I treated myself to an early MAD Ear+ HD X-mas present last month via the FS boards. My RS-1s couldn't be happier! I can't speak for other cans, but Grados & Alessandros positively sing with this amp.

Oh, and be sure to get (or at least listen to) a Sylvania/Phillips 5751 JAN tube at some point. Yummy!

Thanks for the welcome and the tube recommendation - looking forward to experimenting with a bit of tube rolling in the future. Very interested to see how it compares sonically with my XP-7...

Excellent choice, the Ear + Purist HD is my favorite amp under $1200.

And to think that I almost sold it!
