This is really driving me nuts. I have an iHP-120, and there's apparently no good way to create .m3u playlists on my Powerbook. Winamp is perfect for doing it on PC, but the Mac version of Winamp is ancient and the m3u files it creates causes Rockbox to crash. Is there a small, lightweight media player for Mac OSX that can create m3u files easily, like Winamp or Foobar??

Have you tried Audion? There is also an AppleScript that you might be able to adapt to your purpose. I don't have an iRiver, so I can't confirm whether either of these approaches might work.

Are you running tiger? If so then automater can be used to make a workflow to create the playlist
