I forgot who and where, but someone recently mentioned a script for the Mac that would sync lossless files as lossy on the iPod instead of creating two different libraries to accomplish the same goal.

Anyone know what I'm referring to?

Sure! But it wont allow you to sync lossy files with an iPod.
For that you need iTunes, or any of the other applications out there who can manage the iPod database
