Alright guys, I think i have decided to use my mac mini as my source. I am curious though if anyone has tried a nice sound card with the mac mini like the ESI-Juli@ and if it is even possible. I looked through most of the old mini threads and don't see much on sounds cards. I can presume then that source/transport and digital receiver are "hi-fi." would something like the apogee duet cover this?

mac mini-apogee duet-amp- headphones or would it be better to upgrade some internals and run something between the mac mini and the apogee duet?

Basically I am looking for the ultimate mac mini setup from the source/transport up to the amplifier.

Well excluding the amp and headphones let's say ~700 but I presume most of the cost would be in amp and phones ?
