Hi,

I bought the 20GB iPod (Mac) last night cause I heard you can easily flash it into a windows version. Question though, does the Mac iPod only come with a firewire input, no USB 2.0? If so, will I have to go out and buy some firewire port for my computer since I only have USB?

DLP, the one jodokast bought is a 20GB (previous generation) model. There is no USB2.0 option for it.

The new models for Windows don't require you to have FireWire. They come with a USB/FireWire hybrid cable -- you connect the USB plug to your USB port, and the FireWire plug to the iPod AC adapter to charge it. (After all, if you had FireWire, why would you even bother with USB?

...guess everything works out in the end. Just ended up purchasing an Audigy2 OEM. Got tired of using my integrated sound anyways.
